There are a couple things have to prepare before starting installation process, please follow the guide step by step

  1. ADB and Fastboot

      • adb and fastboot is the tools to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery. Download here and extract it on PC.

  2. Team Win Recovery Project custom recovery (TWRP)

      • TWRP is the custom recovery that use for install Azenqos firmware and root. Download here

  3. Moto firmware

      • If the devices are running with different version compare to our supported, we need to downgrade or upgrade to the supported one. Download supported version here

  4. Azenqos kernel

      • This is the custom kernel that required to make the phone able to run Azenqos applications. Download the kernel file that match for devices model and software version from the link in supported version number above or here then copy to the phone.

Unlock bootloader

Mostly new android phone bootloader is locked, follow the instruction below step by step to unlock it before start installations process

  • On the phone, open Setting app then go to systemAbout phone → then touch on Build number simultaneously until the message show You are now developer

  • Go back to system again and go to Developer options → enable OEM unlocking

  • Boot the phone to bootloader mode by power off the phone then hold power + volume down button until the bootloader screen shows up then connect the phone to PC

  • On PC go to to get the unlock code for you device (each phone have unique code), follow the instruction on the page to get the code

  • When you get the unique key for your device, open CMD on you PC then type “cd <platform-tool folder>” to change folder to adb and fastboot folder (ex. if your platform-tools folder is save at “C:\platform-tools” just type cd “C:\platform-tools” then hit enter)

  • Then type

    • fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE_KEY then hit enter (unique_key is the code from motorola website)

  • Reboot the phone

Install Azenqos firmware

  1. Download TWRP for Moto G6 from the link in preparation step

  2. Power off the device then boot it to fastboot mode by hold volume down and connecting the device to PC

  3. Open Command prompt on PC

    • Make sure adb/fastboot is installed on the PC or follow Install adb/fastboot on PC instructions

  4. Type the following command to install TWRP

    • fastboot flash recovery <folder/to/twrp.img>

    • change <folder/to/twrp.img> to full file location on PC

  5. Use volume button to change the options in fastboot mode, select Recovery and press power button. The phone will boot to TWRP mode.

  6. When the phone boot to TWRP

    • Select cancel when it ask for password

    • Select keep read-only options if it ask

    • Copy Azenqos firmware file on PC to the phone

  7. On the devices, go to Install --> select Azenqos firmware file --> slide to install and wait until it say DONE

  8. Go to Wipe --> format data --> type yes wait until finished and select reboot system

  9. Finish the setup and the phone is ready to install Azenqos application

Install Azenqos application

  1. Go to

  2. Download AzenqosMobile-releaseXXXXXX_vXXX.apk

  3. Install it on the phone

  4. Open Azenqos apps and activate the license

  5. Azenqos is ready to use
